Staff visits Powe Elementary career day

On May 2, Adam Rogers, Alex Valencia, and Marian Fragola represented the Libraries at E.K. Powe Elementary School Career Day in Durham. With the ever-popular 3D printer making mini Belltowers at their table, Adam, Alex, and Marian talked with first- through fifth-graders about what they like (and also don't like—kids weren’t afraid to ask the tough questions!) about working in a library. The kids were curious and engaged and the teachers were organized and appreciative.

"We had a great time representing the Libraries at our neighborhood school in Durham,” Adam says. “The kids loved learning about our 3D printer, the Makerspace, and what we do as librarians."
